Creative Direction for Walgreens Health 🩺
“Health is Home”
We developed the “Health is Home” campaign to build awareness of the second-largest pharmacy store chain in the United States transitioning into urgent care and in-home healthcare. Targeted toward Insurance Payors, the campaign needed to show how Walgreens Health partnerships with VillageMD and CareCentrix could improve health outcomes for members through identification and closing of gaps in care during transitions, reductions in hospital re-admissions, and improvement in members’ engagement in their overall health.
Based on the demographics and care needs discussed with the client, the primary talent I selected were middle-aged to senior individuals as they receive care or take steps towards better health. The campaign consisted of social, print, :60 and :30 spots, infographics, iconography development, pitchdeck templates and content, and other digital assets.
Research and Data
To guide design decisions we had to do some digging, particularly on caretaker outcomes. We used the information we gathered to create patient stories and journeys that would inform pitchdecks and the approach for other creative.
Patient Stories
Angela is one of 44 million American caregivers at risk of developing or worsening emotional, mental, and physical health problems while caring for a loved one. Managing her diabetes and lowering her risk of depression and heart disease are as essential as the care she provides for her grandmother with Alzheimer’s. A Walgreens care team that knows what she’s juggling helps her stay on track with her wellness goals. She never has to go too far or spend too much for the care she needs.
When Robert leaves the hospital, he knows he won’t be back for a while. He knows his local Walgreens not only has his prescriptions ready, but a team of skilled nurses are also ready to meet him with the equipment he needs to recover in the comfort of home.

Data integration
With patient’s consent, Walgreens Health develops a 360 degree view leveraging Epic, Blue Button, Pluto Health, and Plan Data so his whole care team can treat him more holistically
Collaboration
A care team checks up on [patient] regularly. Ability to engage members in their care is a key differentiator of Walgreens Health
Data sharing
While at home, [patient] suffers a fall and breaks his hip. He is admitted to the ER for treatment where the hospital gets access to his 360 medical records for treatment
Post-acute care
Unfortunately, he is not ready to go home immediately, and Walgreens Health helps facilitate an interim transition to a CareCentrix facility where he can get the care he needs outside an acute care facility
Continuous engagement and improvement
His Walgreens Health care team follows up on his progress, ensures his records are updated, and helps ensure a smooth transition home
