UX Design & Project Management: Video Player & Video Hosting Platform
As Creative Design Manager at VOPED, I led the design and delivery of two simultaneous digital products: a redesigned embeddable video player and FrontierOne, a white-label video hosting and commerce platform.
Design Approach
For the video player, I replaced the dated 2000s-era metallic frame and sharp gradients with a cleaner, frameless interface. Video controls sat within a subtle translucent gradient overlay with rounded corners and minimal iconography, keeping the focus on the content.
Video Player
For FrontierOne, I partnered closely with Engineering to define requirements, evaluate feasibility, and translate customer and business needs into a flexible white-label product. Clients could customize their logo, primary colors, video categories, and player styling while retaining a consistent underlying experience.
The platform supported a complete video-commerce journey, including account creation, video discovery and previews, categories and carousels, video players, social and copy-link sharing, comments, shopping cart and persistent cart memory, promotional banners, coupon codes, credit card and PayPal payments, order summaries, purchase history, and account management.
Wireframes
I led cross-functional product discovery through stakeholder interviews, customer feedback, iterative prototyping, and engineering work sessions, defining product requirements, user stories, acceptance criteria, and roadmap priorities for platform enhancements.

Product Strategy & Delivery
I partnered with Engineering to prioritize releases based on customer needs, technical feasibility, and business objectives, balancing roadmap priorities, dependencies, and delivery timelines.
I planned and coordinated feature releases across Design, Engineering, QA, Marketing, and leadership, tracking feature adoption and customer feedback to inform subsequent roadmap decisions and product improvements.
I also presented product strategy, roadmap updates, and release recommendations to executive stakeholders, while collaborating with Marketing and leadership on go-to-market planning for new capabilities and launches.
From Design to Agile Delivery
The project became a turning point in how I approached product delivery. After experiencing communication breakdowns across teams, I discovered Agile Scrum and immediately applied the methodology to the project.
In addition to leading design, I took ownership of backlog prioritization, sprint planning, daily scrums, and sprint reviews, creating a more structured collaboration model between design, engineering, and leadership.
The experience expanded my role from designing the experience to shaping the roadmap, coordinating delivery, and creating the process that enabled the team to deliver it.
